The part that costs nothing and saves the most

Machinery is bought on horsepower far too often. Whether a mulcher suits your tractor depends on lift capacity at the rear linkage, hydraulic flow, front axle weight and where the machine hangs — a 90 hp tractor that cannot lift the implement is no use at all.

What we need from you

Tractor make, model and year; the work you need done; the ground you do it on; and roughly how many hours a year. Four answers, and we can give you a real recommendation.

Demonstrations

For the larger machines we bring a demonstrator to your ground. It is the only way to know how a machine behaves on your soil, and it has stopped more than one customer buying a size too big.

When the answer is no

Sometimes the right advice is to service the machine you have, or to hire for the fortnight you need it, or to buy from someone else because they carry the size we do not. We give that answer too — it is the reason the same farms come back to us for twenty years.
